Panthers To Play Stars In San Antonio
It is crazy to think the the 2011-2012 NHL regular season is almost finished. Hopefully the Panthers will still be playing well past the final day, but only time will tell. Of course it never hurts to look forward to next season, and that’s exactly what the San Antonio Rampage are doing. Earlier today Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate announced that the Cats will take on the Dallas Stars in San Antonio, Texas during the 2012-2013 pre-season. This is a great opportunity for the loyal Rampage fans to see their parent club in action.
The game is currently scheduled to take play on September 28th at 7:30 PM. This game could be one of the final pre-season games, depending on the not yet released regular season schedule. Once more information is released about the game we will be sure to post it.
Scott Clemmensen Undergoes Knee Procedure

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Goaltender Scott Clemmensen underwent a minor procedure on his knee on Monday. Re-evaluation will be done after the surgery for a more accurate timetable on his return, currently it could be around 4-6 weeks.
Clemmensen was to start tomorrow night’s game against the Dallas Stars, which now means Tyler Plante could be playing in his place. It’s expected that Jose Theodore will start all of Florida’s games to start the season with Plante as the backup, giving Jacob Markstrom more playing time in San Antonio to gain experience.
Panthers Re-Sign Carter, Acquire Keith Seabrook
Two more quick updates for the Florida Panthers today.
The Cats have re-signed Ryan Carter to a one year, two-way contract. Carter was acquired back at the trade deadline from the Hurricanes for Cory Stillman during the great Florida salary dump of 2011.
The Calgary Flames traded D-man Keith Seabrook to Florida for Jordan Henry. Keith is the younger brother of Chicago’s Brent Seabrook.
These moves are obviously being made to improve San Antonio’s roster for next season, something the Panthers never did for their former AHL club in Rochester.
